We are thrilled to announce that artwork created by one of our community members, Ryan Lam, was selected to be part of the 8th annual, juried Compendium Exhibition celebrating the art of the self-portrait. The exhibition is on view in the Crayola Gallery in the Banana Factory Arts Center, 25 W. 3rd St. Bethlehem, PA 18015, through January 1, 2025.
According to the Banana Factory website, the “exhibition aims to celebrate the idea of personal narratives and images and how artists create these narratives in visual form.”
Ryan Lam described what it means to be part of this exhibition and to be part of Ripple’s community: “I feel amazing. I feel thought-about. We have art on Thursdays and it’s always great. I’m thankful for the people who voted me into the show [at the Banana Factory] and really looked at my art. I appreciate it.”
Kristin Baxter, Community Building Center Director described the significance of Ryan’s work being part of this exhibition. She said, “Not only is it important to Ryan to be part of this exhibition, but this opportunity also puts our mission into practice such a meaningful way.”
Congratulations to Ryan for being selected for this exhibition!
